Terms of Service

By opening Imagedit, dropping in an image, or using any of its tools, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

Imagedit is meant for ordinary image editing: removing backgrounds, cropping and resizing, upscaling, and compressing images you have the right to work with.

You agree not to use Imagedit to process images that are illegal, that infringe someone else's rights, or that you do not have permission to use. You also agree not to abuse the service, for example by automating requests, trying to get around the hourly limit, probing or attacking the servers, or using the tools to build a competing bulk-processing service.

We may refuse a request or block access if we believe the service is being misused.

You keep all rights to the images you process. We claim no ownership over them.

You are responsible for the images you use with Imagedit. You must have the rights or permission needed to upload and edit them, and you must not use the tools to create or share content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, or any other right.

Crop & Resize and Compress run in your browser, so those images never reach us. Remove BG and Upscale do send your image to our server and on to a third-party service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Imagedit name, its interface, and its code belong to us. These terms give you no licence to reuse them beyond using the service as intended.

Imagedit is offered as is and free of charge. It may be unavailable at times, and we do not promise any uptime or that every request will succeed.

Remove BG and Upscale depend on third-party services. If those services are slow, rate-limited, or down, the tool may fail or fall back to another provider. Images for these two tools are limited to 4MB and must be PNG, JPG, or WEBP, and the server allows 20 processed images per hour per visitor.

Crop & Resize and Compress run on your own device, so they are limited by your browser and hardware instead.

We may change, limit, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Remove BG and Upscale use automated, AI-based processing. Results are produced automatically and may not be perfect. Background removal can leave halos, lose fine details such as hair or transparent edges, or remove part of the subject by mistake. Upscaling can soften detail or add artifacts.

Always check a result before you rely on it. Imagedit is a convenience tool, not a guarantee of a professional result.

Remove BG and Upscale send your image to third-party services to do the work: Magic Studio for background removal, Cloudinary for upscaling, and jaky.dev, with x0.at as a temporary host, as a fallback. These services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we do not control how they handle your image. The Privacy Policy describes this flow in more detail.

By using those two tools, you also agree to follow the terms of the service that processes your image.

Imagedit is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent allowed by the law that applies to you.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of Imagedit, including lost or damaged images, lost time, or results you are unhappy with. Because Imagedit is free, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, and nothing here takes away consumer rights that cannot be waived.

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

We may update these terms as the service changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Imagedit after a change means you accept the updated terms.
